Stevie's right Cyclops, remember, 'what goes down must come back up (in this case)' - have a decent warm-up and save some oomph for the second half. Like Stevie and lots of others, I will be doing the longer one, though after 3 hours getting battered by the widnnd and sleet on Kinder today the LLL seems more appealing. :w00t: Enjoy LLL.

not so sure about breezing past anyone...we were actually leapfrogging up the track to our first CP ;-)
Get yourselves out there. Slightly more climb than descent. A great race. Get entered.

Yeah, I'd forgotten, that half-klick 1-in-30 decent from the finish (registration) to the start is a real killer if you dont pace it well.

in 2011 i made a conscious decision to start fell racing, joined the FRA and got a pair of Walshes from my Gran for xmas.

made this my first fell race of the year, had the obligatory toilet stop over the road from the start, fell over the stile flat on my backside, did the race and finished 3rd from last.

let's see how i get on this time round!
