    Another option is to carry a water bottle on its own, separate belt. Sounds cumbersome but I like to do this because I can leave the bumbag comfortably out of the way (almost) all the time and have the water bottle (which I'm more likely to need) more accessible. - The water bottle belt literally just carries the bottle, no other pockets, padding, etc. so it actually isn't so cumbersome.

    what about one of those bumbags that have the bladder inside not sure of the models but think theres a couple to chose from (inov8)

    I find a platypus bottle better,heard few peolpe say there not the most stable with the bladder in.

    Racekit do a good range of bottle holding bumbags. I quite like the 2l one with the 2 bottles.

    i find most bumbags un stable unless they have compression straps, like the pete bland ones or the inov8 race pro 3l without them they bounce! dont take a drink myself drink from streams, sweet fell water

    OMM 4L is a good bag very comfortable to run with
