i bumped in to them just as they were setting off up Skiddaw. They all seemed to have car headlights for torches that put mine to shame. It ws still pretty windy on Skiddaw at 8pm last night but not as bad as in the morning when the wind funnelled up any valley. I went up Deep Gill where the wind was blowing the ice uphill. On top of scafell I was being blown whilst crawling. Not nearly as bad on Skiddaw and they would have had the wind behind them on most of the first section after skiddaw and the helvellyn ridge.

And...it's over. After an up and down night section, Rich's knee is injured and they're heading down to the Langdales. Brave effort tho!
