    Thanks Sam. Saw the 'flatlands' on the horizon and your earlier clue about being in Britain but further north than Skiddaw helped narrow it down to one of the Galloway tops.

    looks like Harter Fell and Caw, so presumably out near Ravenglass?

    Hooker Crag you mean? No - that's got a nice steep rocky top. The one in the photo is a huge expanse of peat bog. And it's a long way north of the Lakes. The two tops you can see are 590m & 580m high.

    I actually meant the little 25m one near "Cumblands", but obviously not
    if it's not Peak District, North Wales or the Lakes I'm lost

    main clue is the odd shape of the trig itself...

    I know - I thought "I've never seen that one before" & gave up! I may have been there & forgotten of course. Is it in the Shap fells somewhere? It looks like that sort of landscape. Not many trigs round there though.
