    Recipe Books

    Can anyone reccomend any good recipe books for soups and main meals using beans and pulses?

    mix em with some tommy k and instant baked beans???

    Have you had a look on the bbc website. They have some good suggestions.

    Sarah,

    get some vegetable stock, a Massive sauce pan and about 5 litres of water.

    Then pile as much vegetables and lentils in there as you possible can.

    No matter what I used to put in my super slimmer soup/broth/paste it always tasted the same.

    I did used to add a few chickens for protein.

    I also added waterchestnuts for that added crunch

    I may make some more on the back of this.

    Cheers Jamie, i'll give it a go. It maybe a dum question but do you soak the dried stuff first and for how long? or do you just chuck them in the pot as they are?

    Really glad the chickens were dead when you added them!
