The first time i met with the wharfedale massive, started june 10th at barley cabin and was truly shocking. Although Andy i think i know where this might be leading.
Well I've got to say that was brilliant today. Loved it despite getting covered in mud in the field before the start when pushing the wife's car out of the steep parking field. I looked a right sight! Thanks if you helped push.
Great route and the beer swinging was a great touch.
Looks like the sun may come out for the wedding to.
Hopefully it will become an annual race as I will be back for sure.
Congratulations to the couple.
Congratulations to Nick and Sarah on their big day, really good atmosphere in the cruck barn afterwards and some lovely pencil sketches for the category winners. Didn't notice many forumites from my spot on the steep middle section to the climb, though the Chairman did look like he could have done with a sip of my tea. Ted Mason was flying on the way down, but Holmesy had just under a minute on him which was enough to seal the victory.
Luke Appleyard (Wharfedale)- quick on the dissent
Great event, hopefully annual. Got lots of pictures and will post them tomorrow hopefully. One of holmesy going past his sign erected by ted mason. On to the wedding!!
Great race but need to practice my beer drinking. Not easy when you are totally breathless.
