Cheers to Nick and the helpers, quite a good local race this one, you can make up a few places just by knowing the quickest route up the rocks to the trig.
I was clipping along nicely on the run out, basically hitting my 5k pace all the way to the base of the climb, managed to stay in the top 15 i think. Big climb slowed me a lot and i never picked up speed on the top of the moor really, i was a bit goosed. Had the best descent i've had since pre-covid, fairly strong with nice quick feet if a bit hesitant due to exhaustion. The slabs were great at slowing you down as overtaking room was very limited.
