I'd be happy to communicate with my partner only via MSN.
(If she reads this she'll be thinking I'd be happy to communicate only via the CSA.)

MSN? Sounds like what went on at the last place i worked at; nobody would speak at all, all communication was via email so as to leave a paper trail to evidence your decisions for the meetings/bollockings. It's ironic how technology gets people talking on forums but conversely shuts everyone up at work and prevents verbal working relationships from forming. I saw an advert on a billboard the other day for a car that checks your blind spot for you, one more for the list of things people won't be learning to do:
Check blind spot
Turn on headlights 30mins before published local lighting up time
Turn wipers on when appropriate
Turn wipers off to conserve profile of leading edge
Learn to brake without locking wheels up
Learn to rectify drifts
Keep track of service intervals
Park without crashing
Keep car on right side of road
I guess it all stems from research into air crashes where it has been discovered that human error is always the biggest contributor to the final outcome.
