We were going to have a go on 26th of Feb but there may be 20 of us with nothing to do and a post PBW Thai buffet booked for 30 the local pub!!
Mag 7?? See Long Distance Challenges. Would actually be better when moor is frozen, route is all on trods and open moors, and is worse when the bogs are deep. Takes about 6 hours.

Noooooo, I think I may have put this across wrong, what i meant was, maybe if the race is cancelled a bunch who was expecting to run could of met at one of the leg chaange overs and ran one of the legs or another route near by, no pressure just a long Sunday run on the terrain.
Maybe met at Leg 3 and go up around the top of Stoodley ?????
Blackburn winter warmer 10k same day but guess if there is lots of ice that could also be cancelled
