please could all runners coming to this race ( gibson grind 14k trail race )
use the kendal college ( free ) car park access off vicarage drive
which is only 2 mins walk up to school on hawesmead avenue, as parking at school is at a premium.

Hi there,
2 of us from my club hoping to come up for this one..whats the course like as its advertised as a trail race, so im expecting farm tracks, bridlepaths etc.
Cheers..
Hi. Its run on Scout Scar which is open limestone country. Thin soil, grassy surface with lots of bits of limestone sticking out. Most of the race is on established pathways. Nothing very steep, but lots of steady inclines. Run from a school fete. Good fun. Good views. Well organised. Good prizes.
if you would like course details ie,route, photo,s where to park on day and pre-entry forms contact [email protected] as they will help you.
Also anybody who is doing the race and wants a reki run i dont mind taking them round, ring me on 01539 735132 to arrange.
Thanks for the info guys, early start for my clubmate and i. Looking forward to the race, then off to find campsite and a pub!
Thats one heck of a carbon footprint to do one race. Us fell runners aren't as loving of our countryside as we like to make out.
What a prize list. Presented by an MP. Well done Alec.
