The yellow ones are only £21.95, if you don't mind something a bit bright....well until you get the first bit of mud on them. Amusingly, they are still in the 2 for £54 offer.

...if I hadn't just managed to get some immaculate Roclite 295s off ebay for £35, I would have probably given them a punt, as look very similar.

the blue ones look nicest, but (miserly skinflint that I am) I've just ordered a pair of those yellow ones - soon have them stained brown by Kinder peat

I'm with you on the miserly skinflint front Daz!
How does the fit come out? I'm hoping the is more like a 7.5 given that's the smallest they come in! My Mudclaw 330s on the otherhand are supposed to be a 7.5, but are more like an 8!

I should have added, if you use code FETCH10, you get 10% off also.

Hmm. For £24 delivered, they are quite tempting.

No official figures quoted, but a heft in the hand compared to my Rocklite 295's would suggest they'd be around the same weight (330g) as a Mudclaw 330/333.

I found them a 'light', relatively low riding shoe on my feet, they seem to have a similar midsole to the Mudclaw 330/333 with around the 2 ^ (6mm) heel lift. Someone suggested they look heavy with the MM logo on the side of the upper, however this not in reality much additional weight at all.

Does the sole rubber compound seem fairly soft/sticky or more hard/durable?

...Definitely tempting! Do they come up as pretty normal shoe sizes?

They seem to be the same as Inov8, a falrly generous sizing. As with Inov8, my UK size 9 MM's are quoted as US 10 and EUR 43.

My thumb 'durometer' suggests relatively 'sticky' to touch but firm sole studs, possiblly a little harder than with my Roclite 295's 'sticky sole'.

I can't really comment on durability yet, with only 2 runs totalling 7.7 miles, of which 90 per cent was on muddy grass. Soles are still like new.

I'm sure there will soon be reports from UK fell runners on this forum as to how these shoes perform on the local countryside.
