Is it ok to use language such as that on this forum? P'raps that's how north country boys talk? Hopefully NCB will go back to his Xbox and not sour the fellrunning fraternity with his unpleasant thoughts.

I might be Tup , But not too Tup to know that I am Tup:w00t:
Ha ha! Ace thread. Made me laugh coffee out my nose.
Got to say though, i would be chuffed to bits if i got four months out of a pair of mudclaws without them starting to fall apart. I usually get a year or more out of mine 'til they fall apart completely.

My island is very nice
Well, today I went to Sports SHoes.com in Bradford. It was my intention to by some mudclaws. I like the look of them and thought they might give me a bit more protection on rocky lanes than the 212s. I thought that they were pretty comfy, but not as immediately "wow" as the 212s. I asked the assistant about wear to the uppers and he said that people do have problems with the ankle support and also the outer on the toe box area coming away. I tried on the new s-labs. Thought they were comfier (bit spongey)....but tight across the broadest part of the foot and I could feel the more rigid styling outer layer when my foot flexed.
Ended out coming out with the Vivo Barefoot trail shoes....which I love already. Not sure how they'll be on the rocky stuff though.
Sorry for the rambling commentary. I apologise in advance....I may repeat it verbatim later in the thread.
