    By definition fell running can only take place in certain areas of the country i.e. where there are fells/hills.

    By your very narrow defination fell running cannot take place on dales, downs, lows, braes, sgurrs, bjergs, peaks, sierras, alps, 山脉, or any other name for wild country then?

    Events such as the Kinder Trog will have to be reclassified as a trail race as the majority of the terrain is man-made trails.
