    Shutlingsloe fell race

Maybe a very a stupid question (and it wouldn't be my first) but did this race a few weeks back and wondered where to find the results.

They haven't yet appeared and I haven't had a reply to my e-mail to the race organiser.

It's hardly important, as I was well down the field (where I fell most at home) but does anyone have any ideas?

I'd like to see the results too - I always keep a copy for every race no matter how well or badly I do!

He said he'd mail them to Bill but I don't think Bill's heard anything.

    Shutlinsloe

I'm coming down on Monday with my daughter for this. I checked last year and the only thread appears to be about the lack of online results.

Is there any info on this - the Seniors is only 2 miles, so are the juniors on the same course?

Route map, route pics, anything would help.

The juniors (even the older ones) run a slightly different course for some complicated reasons, and the junior races are run earlier (starting from about 12:00). However, the older juniors can then also enter the seniors' race which starts at 2:45.

    Hi Noel,

I like the use of the word "also".

In some circles junior fell running is frowned upon - a double header day for juniors - classic!

Daz - thanks for the link.

I did this with Fleeter a couple of years ago - great race, good luck with the river crossing if it rains though - very steep banks and lots of mud! Nice uphill finish too.

Ah yes, I forgot about the whole "under-14s shouldn't run more than 3 miles" thing. Still seems a bit strange to me.

Interestingly, I was talking to an ex-organiser of the race the other day and she said that before it was FRA affiliated, Shutlingsloe had been run by a 7 year old!
