It's great to see so many juniors doing well. Six in the top 12 yesterday and some great performances by some of the younger ones. As I said, next year, I'll have more categories and more prizes.

And good to see you too Dom.
Thanks for coming down to take part. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I've been saying for years that it's a fantastic race - now I'm the race organiser, people must think I'm biased.

Tis a great race...no doubt. Glad to have been of use helping with the registration and timing this year.

Thanks for organising it Noel. It was good to see the front runners drop off the top of Shuts... It's a great, scary descent.:w00t:

Nice one, Dom. It's good to show people I was giving it my all. It seems the eyes-closed descending technique is far better than looking where I'm going.

Thanks Noel and team - a well-organised event.Shame I couldn't have pushed you more this time.As you mentioned,it was a long wait for the presentation, although it was beyond your control I assume?

Thanks gazb. Next year. I'll be a V40 then too, so there might be even more riding on it.

I've already raised the issue of prize-giving timing with the fete committee. This year we were bit slow, and I'm confident we can get that sorted next year.

But then once we had the results, we have to wait an extra 20 minutes for the end of the dog show before the prize-giving could take place. Also, it's a bit strange having the kids races so early - even before the fete has started! So we're hoping to change that next year too.

It's nearly time again. Shutlingsloe fell race on Monday: http://fellrunner.org.uk/races.php?id=3081

If you've not done it before, it's a great local race.

The fete is pretty good too - fun for all the family. It's normally got a beer tent, tea and cake, coconut shy, dog show etc.
