    What a FANTASTIC race!

My first ever short-sharp-shocker and it was beauty!

As someone else said, the highlight for me was coming off the top on the steepest part of the descent and heading directly into a strong wind - you felt able to throw yourself down much steeper slopes than would be normal/sane due to being blown back up/into the slope - felt more like paragliding/basejumping than fell running - never had so much fun!

Really excellent for spectators too, being able to see most of the course from the lawns of Crag Hall

Glad you enjoyed it... would love to have been there myself, but have a torn calf (recovering in time for Bala Middle Distance Tri) and it wouldn't have been wise to shred it up there . Likewise, had to miss Goyt's Moss

Like you say, great for the family and a great atmosphere... maybe next year,eh?

Standings - which conflict with the published results.

So it looks like the race admin were having problems!

And I can confirm Sally in the U12 was not passed before, at or after the funnel.

You need to take it up with the organiser/champs administrator if there are discrepancies - I was merely an observer at the finish taking photos etc.

I think that the felljunior results were taken at the time from the results put on the shed wall. They certainly changed after that, because I pointed out that our third placed runner wasn't even shown as a finisher! She's now down as 2nd, so still some sorting out to do.

I'd raise any issues with fell junior because it's important to get the championship places right. He does ask for any queries to be raised with him.
