Is the descent on this straight down the steepest part or is it similar to the Roaches race where you run along the top of shuts westwards and then descend a more 'gentle' slope?

You have the choice - the majority of runners drop down the steep side, but those in the know appear to favour running along the top a bit and taking a more gentle line.
If you can descend from there at Simon Bailey's pace it doesn't matter which route you take!

Are you doing it GeofPet? Which way do you go off the top?

Rained this mornin, but now sunny.. if the last four years are anything to go by, there'll be showers and a downpour beforehand, but sunshine from ten minutes before the start until about Wednesday!

Still not sure whether to run it again... no one has asked for marshalls, so may run there, run the race and run home...

Well I can hardly walk after yesterdays Cader Idris race in Wales, but, I'll still be wandering up to Wildboarclough for this one tomorrow. Great day out for the whole family if anyones in the area wandering what to do.

Heavy legs after a tricky week but I'll be there. Just hope the rain holds off to make a good day of it.

Enjoyed yesterdays race and the home made cakes afterwards.
Faster then last year but still not as good as the year before that.
Think I saw GayhamB there but didn't get chance to say hello.
