I actually don't mind the lads, fair play to them.

Jedward, in my house - good, all thanks to my 15 year old daughter who is 'their biggest fan!' Yes, really.....

However, taking a measured view, as far as pop stars go they're fairly harmless it's not a bad example to set -could be worse!

They were the 'faces' of Aviva sports in 2011 who funded track and field try-out days throughout the country that my daughter and two other of her girl friends went to in Stockport because it was promoted by Jedward. They had a great day sprinting, hurdling, trying out the javelin, shot put, etc. My daughter has talked excitedly about their Marathon run and yes, she is being brought up in a household that does a lot of sports but she is running more now whether that has anything to do with Jedward or not, I don't know, and I don't care, she's running more and coming out with me, and annoyingly is getting faster!

I like this post. I've always been a Jedward fan. What harm do they do?

I do a 1.5 mile run on the roads with my 9 yr old and I do not run much slower than I would on my own. I could be in trouble in another year!!

My 4 year old daughter wanted to come out with me, so we did a lap of the block
I got told off for walking.

    :-)

I got my daughter to 'help' with my hill rep session.

OK while she was watching, OK while she was shouting 'encouragement', even Ok when she was shouting mild abuse to get me to run harder and faster, not OK when she joined in and beat me! [Grrr]

She thought it was hilarious and said, "but you can run longer distances than me".
I'm holding onto that for as long as it lasts....
