Cracking race, varied terrain, great scenery and the marshall's were excellent, overall a really enjoyable one:thumbup: a 12th spot for me, so a good effort.

A few snaps from the bottom of the downhill that everyone loved.

Cheers trainspotta - nice to see my @rse sliding descent wasn't caught on film.

Thanks also to the organisers and the marshalls for putting on a cracking race with a little bit of everything ...

Thanks to RO for putting out the Heptonstall flyers - was helping out at CVFR Midsummer Madness - but must make it a date for next year.

Settle Hills Race 2012 - The start is at 10:30am this year (earlier than last year). We had two different times showing on the web site for a while - sorry about that.

    Thanks Boxers,

I'll be there, celebrating Father's Day in what seems to be a self-indulgent way... What size T-shirts do you have?

Doesn't seem too self-indulgent to me. At least you're not demanding flowers, breakfast in bed, endless cups tea, etc, etc that seem to be expected on Mothers' Day.

Not sure what you mean about the T-shirts? There was once a Settle Hills Race T-shirt printed about 10 years ago. Now a valued collector's item. You could have mine for £50 (Size L, slightly used) ;-).

However, other attractions that ARE on offer are:

    - Hot showers
    - Mini Olympics for the kids (starting at 11am)
    - Bouncy castle
    - Kids' treasure trail
    - Cake stall

All in all a bumper fun day for everyone.

What a fantastic race with a little bit of everything, all credit to the race organisers and marshalls. Was happy with my run today finishing 26th despite still carrying a injury. It was also great to have some events for the younger children.
