Looks like I'm going to have get some race numbers printed for Teggs Nose fell race. Needs to include a sponsors name and maybe logo as well as the number. I also want them on the water resistant paper. Should just be a single colour.
Any ideas of the best place to get them done?
I've looked at Running Imp and they are 20p a number... was hoping for cheaper!
Try www.stacyandson.co.uk - they're the best price but a word of warning, I found some duplicate numbers in a batch of theirs a few years ago which caused a bit of a problem at the finish of one of my races. They told me it wouldn't happen again and sent me a free batch and it hasn't happened again.
Alternatively there's a place in Alderley Edge that has been known to supply numbers albeit with a picture of a little bear on!

That's Running Bear in Alderley Edge.
We had some done by Stacys on Tyvek (waterproof) and from memory they were about 9p each
Am getting tyveks from pymmwenn : http://www.pymmwenn.com/tyvek.htm at about 12p each for 500 but getting a local business to sponsor them and do all the ordering - cheap publicity for him. Hazard tape 2 quid a roll and cups 1 penny each from Buxton discount centre.
How did I ever have time to work?

Thanks guys. I used Running Bear last time and they weren't that cheap (I had a separate race sponsor, so Tony couldn't put Running Bear logos on).
I hadn't scrolled down far enough on the Running Imp website to see the cheaper plain numbers.
I need to see what the sponsor requires and what the budget runs to (I organise the race on behalf of the local sheepdog trial association, so they do all the finances...)
