On a slightly (un?)related note, I saw Mark Knopfler a few years back, (2008? Don't worry Graham, I didn't pay for the ticket!). The stage was set with his signature red Fender Stratocaster underneath a spotlight... and it turns out that most of the stonking riffs are all played on a Gibson Les Paul....

I've got a scarf somewhere - in the attic - of that red FS, hand-made in the 80's, my design, my mum(bless her)'s knitting. :w00t:
Must dig it out for a winter run - maybe this year's G-Pud! - as long as you promise you'll do air guitar with it on in t'Bulls Head!

Yeah, not sure that you could play lead over the barking-mad dog's rhythm...but would cut a good piece of acoustic vinyl if you could...
