Tattenhall Tough Team Race

Part shameless plug, part genuine enquiry....

Are any fellrunners out there doing the Tough Team race tomorrow evening?

For those who don't know, it's a truly unique race which includes a climb that will test any runner no matter how strong they are.

You run in teams of three and the time of your last finisher is your team's time - so it's about running as a team and getting the best from each other, as opposed to just running along and adding three times up.

It's 9.5 miles, has road, good path and rough trail in it and is a very hilly course. It includes the railway climb, which is a 330 foot ascent reaching 1:1 towards the top. It is a staggering climb which starts easily, lulls you into thinking it's ok and then rears up to such a gradient that makes running virtually impossible. I'll be marshalling hopefully at the top of the railway to get some photos of people in anguish.

You can enter on the night.

Totally agree with fellhell, this is a great, challenging race over some wonderful Cheshire countryside. Just make sure that you're not the weakest member of the team.

Does anyone know if you can run the Tattenhall Tough Team challenge race on your own or do you have to be part of a 3 person team. I just fancy having a go at the distance and the terrain.

You need to be part of a three, but there are often people wanting a third runner if someone drops out.

What you need is to advertise the fact you want two more runners on some kind of public, electronic, electronic forum type thing...
