Is entry on the day usually OK? I have always entered in advance but wasn't sure I'd be able to do it this year but happily I can.
I have never done other than enter on the day and it's not been a problem - have a feeling its a championship race this year, though, so that may make a difference.
If it is its only a welsh champs so they don't get that busy.. its a popular race with or without champ status but we're all entering on the day..
Huge race this year, massive pressure on the front runners for fest Goch. I've decided just to watch as I think it'll be so entertaining. I'm taking a 12 pack of purple moose up the zig zags and watching from there..
This will be my first fell race,5 of us travelling down from Liverpool, were wearing our red and white hooped vests of Knowsley Harriers, really nervous but looking forward to bouncing down the mountain :-)
oh and we are all entering on the day, I emailed the organisers to ask if its ok but have had no reply
c`mon the Hoops!!!
Yes entry on the day is fine, no problemo
Looking at the forecast it is going to be a hot one
Hot in Dolgell today anyway and a awsome view of the mountain from the yard at work
The race is a counter in the Wfra N.wales champs.
Ran the course last night and it is bone dry, even the path along the lakeside and wet field before you get to Ty Nant car park is drying out.
The mountain it's self is totally dry so should make for lightning speed coming down and shoe choice wise one could get away with road shoes if it's your prefrence. Promising no rain between now and race day so will dry out more.
Kit wise.........bring everything with you and the organisers MIGHT make a different call on some?????
Keep some Mws Piws for me Iain. Blydi good stuff
Should be a bit like the Marathon des Sables! You'll recognise me by my very appropriate headgear!
