The team doctor was quite busy that weekend. He had to apply dressings to me too, however I suspect you don't want to know where .....

    The naughty gate Mr Brightside?!!!
Aye. One year a load of very naughty people jumped over the gate and ran accross farmland to avoid the stinging nettles in the ginnel.

No, Martyn. It was brilliant! Especially the ginnel which this year had filled with water which hid the holes. Massive downpour on the way up which cooled us all down nicely compared to the usual midsummer heat there is on this race.

As I suspect you know and Dino confirms, working is not substitute for running up and down a hill in the persisting rain! a brilliant evening, cracking little race. very fast course

unfortunately I can't comment on the ginnel/snicket/nettle alley as I missed it and added an extra 1/2 mile in the process. at least i'll be able to beat my time next year!

Bugger. Oh well, it saved a bit of aggro to my dodgy leg, it needs to mend and I suppose this wouldn't helped much. Glad you enjoyed .... [he says jealously]

I'm not sure that wet is an adequate description of the conditions....

Thought about all you lucky fell runners whilst I was sitting in a comfy Italian restaurant with my partners. Was a bit worried there may have been a lightning strike or two!
