    Clougha Pike - R4

Please note that unless the weather improves, the RO will require juniors to carry at least a cagoule. Plus map, whistle, compass, and leg cover for U18 in senior race. Kit checks will take place.
Details on Bowland website, including course maps and timetable.

Indeed; was out flagging the courses with the RO this morning. We've got some serious stream crossings where we normally don't have any watercourses. Please follow the flags and be prepared to deviate from the usual routes, for your own safety and to prevent waterlogged ground from being churned up.

Latest news as of a couple of hours ago, is that the actual village field day has been cancelled ( so no parking field ) but the fell races should go ahead. Please park as directed on the roadsides and in the local agri-engineer's yard.

I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

Well done to all who made such a good event happen. I have to say as I lay awake in The travelodge on Friday night listening to the rain and watched terrible pictures of local flooding the next morning it didnt seem likely that the races would be run. Despite the mud out there on the course everyone seemed to love it. I enjoyed the senior race (Daren Jones too).

Yes agreed, big thanks to Chris Reade and his team for puting it on despite the sportsday itself being cancelled. The updates on the Bowland website were useful & I know a number of the Helm juniors rather enjoyed the mud!

Appreciate all the effort put in by many people to make it happen & happen well. Thanks Chris.
