    Free timed runs on Danefield

Well the Danefield parkrun never came to fruition, but in my club committee capacity I've just received an email from these folk who are starting free 5k timed runs on Danefield (Chevin Forest Park) this coming Sunday....http://www.runsunday.com/

Registration format etc is very a la parkrun!

Well it was a very low-key start to these runs with a grand total of 19 runners taking part. Pleased to say I hold the inaugural v50 record (though it's bound to go before long!), behind the v60 record but ahead of v35/40/45!!

Thanks v much for that MT. Better than another Parkrun really, as they are on Sundays so give more choice. Folk could even do one of each!
    Begin afresh, afresh, afresh.

Going to do this instead of Cop Hill today - my excuse being I've been fighting (and so far winning) a battle against manflu so 3 miles will be enough at racing pace! And it's much nearer to home.

Since it started they've changed the course twice...now 3 miles... www.runsunday.com

    Looks good!!

And.. far better (terrain wise) than my local ParkRun (Pontefract RaceCourse)

Just a pity, I don't live over that way

They are certainly good little runs Richard, I particularly enjoy the 'Killer Hill' though I couldn't catch up with Jez's 12yo son on the 2nd lap climb!

38 runners out in the cold misty conditions today, from 10yo's through to 70+.

Having only ever seen you in your running gear before Jez, as opposed to being wrapped up for cold weather spectating, I was uncertain as to whether it was you at first! recognised Toni straight away though!
