FRA Junior Grant

A new grant from the FRA is being made available to clubs specifically for junior development. This could cover personal running kit, equipment for junior races, to cover costs to attend some of the excellent coaching courses Graeme Woodward is running, whatever, if it helps your club in developing its junior section, please get in touch.

Clubs will be required to submit a proposal to the Junior Coordinator demonstrating clearly in what way the grant would enhance the long term development of the clubs junior section and how the grant would be spent.

Specifically answering the following questions –

How are you going to develop a strong, healthy junior section within your club?
How would this grant help towards that view or improve what is already happening?
How much money would you like?
What would it be spent on exactly?
How would we know that the investment has been successful, both the short and long term?

Evidence will be required of the appropriate allocation and the subsequent results post investment; this will be published in the Fellrunner magazine, partly as we are accountable for our members money, partly because I’d like to highlight the good things happening within clubs at junior level and share good ideas.

A maximum of initially up to £200 will be available. Clubs who are successful will not be able to apply the following year. This is a new development but if clubs come forward with good ideas it is possible the level of funding for each club and the overall funds available might be increased.

Many thanks

Cheers
