I did Hanley Parkrun Travs, which is quite hilly. Does that count?😂 Great result by you at the Old Crown Round btw.

Cheers fellgaz. 83.08 points scored, that's pretty solid for me.

I was reflecting today on how my relentless speed endurance training paid off at Turnslack. At the summit of the last climb i had people on my arse, Annie Hassell by the looks of it amongst others. As soon as it levelled off i was able to up my leg turnover without too much effort and get running again, which kept the chasers at bay. As soon as we hit the flat track beside the turbines i basically ran away from them, and nobody had an answer for it; they were out of earshot within half a minute. If it weren't for some sage advice from Noel a number of years ago now i'd still be lumbering along in these types of situations, and generally getting overtaken a lot, wheras on saturday i put about a minute into my persuers using only learnt behaviour. This leg speed/flat speed is definitely a key strength which i shall continue to build on.
    Can't climb for toffee...
