    Sedbergh Uphill only race

Full details of this Saturday's Junior Championship races starting at 12.00 can be found on the race website. Please pay careful note to race start times, with U18's starting first, and please remember to bring a cag with you as carrying it may be complusory if the weather is bad. A decision on this will be taken on the morning of the race.

Registration is at the Peoples Hall in Sedbergh and from there it is a 5 minute walk uphill to the start. It is important that all competitors stick to the marked route through the fields from registration to the start to avoid damaging the farmers crops.

    Have a great race.

Well done to Helm Hill on taking the FRA Club Champs title and also retaining the Uphill title. A very good day as usual at Sedbergh yesterday which has to be the best venue for junior fell in England.
Thanks for your efforts Duncan in putting a great series together.

Richard, many thanks, I really appreciate your that. Been some great racing this series with many new juniors taking part and some very high quality running which is always such a pleasure to see.

Many thanks also to Morgan Donelly for presenting trophies on Saturday plus his wise words, and also to our new European Junior Champion Annabel Mason for presenting to u8s & 10s, she made it very special for them.

Also Jon Broxap at Pete Blands for helping out with prizes and Jim Godwin for both doing a terrific job with the results and arriving in his impressive car, which got the day off to a great start!

But mostly thanks to all the runners, parents & coaches that came along and who really make the event. Looking forward to seeing many of you at the junior do on Saturday.

Just a quick (and first) post to thank all involved for for making this series a really enjoyable year. After dragging my daughter around for many years to far flung races I now find that she is dragging me round to her races :-) For me knees and hips shot now but still fit enough to drive dads taxi for a 10 year old!

Joking aside thanks to Duncan, Jim, RO's and all the others that have contributed to a great year.

Dg. You sum it all up perfectly, although its good when there is a senior race as well. Thanks to everyone involved in organising the series. Lovely to meet Duncan on Saturday and his enthusiasm for the sport is in bucket loads which makes the whole thing even better. Hope my kids come back next year and the lure of football or anything else doesnt divert their attention!
Sorry we cant make the 'do' but it just feels one journey too far after such a hectic summer
