Birdsedge Carnival race

Hello,

Just to alert you to a local (well, for me anyway!) race - 6 miles of roads 'n' trails from Birdsedge village hall on Sun 1st July. It's part of the village carnival but, bizarrely, is run the week before.

Just back from this, cracking wee race. Got around in 44mins so I'm happy with that. Fast flat-ish road sections on either side of a really muddy middle part (where the climb was). Results will be out soon no doubt on the Denby Dale web site.

Ta to the organisers - well marshalled - and the man flipping burgers!
