    Re: Pilgrim's Cross

Results? Rather overwhelmed by the number of runners, and typing up the results by copying off the boards is quite time consuming. Need some of that posh computer software, Vince. Still 1/4 the way through now, will try more tomorrow.

Whole experience of organising a race was pretty good, apart from putting the prize list together, which was a nightmare, and I've already spotted a few omissions.

Thanks go, as always, to all those who helped me, whether manning windy knolls or helping with the brain numbing number crunching.

I'd be honestly interested in how people found the race, and how it could be improved. I already believe the prize winners deserve more alcohol and chocolate. Next year?

It was a big field taking part, wasn't it? The route was perfect, with a fast finish (I would say that as I overtook 8 people on the descent!) What could help in those circunstances is having a longer finishing funnel, then numbers are less likely to get missed. Oh, and sign John up (or me) to cover the race.
It is always good for locals to be able to race on their stomping ground!
Well done to all for organising it.

Shaun wasnt dissapointed at the lack of chocolate and alcohol, he came away with a belting head torch which he hasnt stopped bleeting on about and walking around the house in (strange man), he says thank you very much for organising the race.

Great, so now he can train in the dark as well. Not like he's not good enough already...
