I noticed yesterday that the track from the start up to where you go into the field has been freshly tarmaced - no more rough track. Any idea when the results will appear anyone?

    Golf Ball fell race

I'm hoping to have a go at the Golf Ball next week, but I'm just starting to run after not being able to for 6 weeks due to a knackered knee.

Can anyone let me know what the routes like, ie how runnable and what the terrains like?

    Cheers

    Re: Golf Ball fell race

Next week!!!!!!!!!!! shit Well i might do it for a sponsored laugh.
The track from the start to the 1st stile is now smoothly tarmaced and then packed grassy/muddy tracks. Stoney tracks back side of Hameldon, bit stonier up the fairy steps, then muddyish bit, then compact stony track, then tarmac bit (don't take the track to the left cause it's slower) then woodlandy track finishing off on uneven tussocky sort of terrain. Hope that helps Hopey.

PS, when can I buy your head torch that you were selling for a tenner last year???

yes ran it tonight RR, not a bad race, bit boggy though.

Set off far to fast, and paid for it halfway round, but the knee was only giving me a slight pain so that was good.

Thanks Ady, but I've just ran it ha ha
