    Dropping a few pounds

Now I would'nt say I'm a fat bastard, but I am feeling very heavy at the moment.

I've just got back running and I'm really struggling on the climbs. I'm up half a stone on my running weight and really think a drop would make a difference.

    Im great during the week,

Enough carbs, enough protein and no rubbish. weekends are my problem.

I like a few beers on a saturday. I find that means I end up eating crap on a sunday to help me recover from the night the before.

I could do with a few tips on losing a few pounds.

I know eat less and exercise more.

I have also started trying not to eat a lot after 6pm. If I have run in the evenings, Ill just have a tin of tuna and a few spuds.

    Any suggestions would be great

    Ta

I know how you feel. I've put on half a stone since I've not been running and now I've started I feel like a right fat bugger even though I'm only just into the normal weight catagory ie verging on what would be underweight. The weight will come off through your running it might just take a few weeks though

    Think so Detritrtus,

Im just a greedy bugger, large portions and all that. Once you get used to smaller portions I think your stomach shrinks and you dont feel as hungry.

Thing is with losing weight, you can lose a bit to much and start feeling weaker and having less energy. Its a fine balance, I think a few off road 20 milers 3000 calorie burning runs are called for.

You are a greedy bugger and a fat b*****d.

You need some 50 mile epics.

Not sure about the not eating late at night thing - I saw some research recently thet says it doesn't matter when you eat. My problem is, if I get in and have my tea then I just end up being hungry later on anyway and shoving something down my neck before going to bed, so I try to have my main evening late on anyway which fits in well if I'm running.
I'm gonna get that cwazy gwouse...
