Oh dear. 52nd out of 67. That's my worst finishing position vs amount of entrants I've ever had. Even with an injury I feel disappointed.

Don't say that Vegan ! You went out there, took on the course & completed it ! And , I should imagine, like everyone else, you had a great morning out ? As I say to my son: 1st or last, just go out there & enjoy it !

You know what, Jez. You're totally right. Even through the pain I did actually really enjoy the morning. I liked the course a lot and will be back next year for another crack at it.

I've also decided to get to as many fell races as I can (time and money permitting). I reckon that if I run enough of them I'll eventually be one of 'those guys'. You know them, the fast ones who run pretty much the whole way round. I need stronger legs too. More hills I reckon.

So, yeah. I enjoyed it and I would rather like some more. Thanks you and, by the way, very well done to you.

Two of our members (married couple) ran the 14 mile, but not competatively, as they've got all that 'out of their systems' years ago
