Afraid I didn't get to chat to any new forumites unless you were one of many who asked if I was okay after my fall on the slabs just before Top Withins (little fella in bright yellow waterproof-then additional blue waterproof after starting my walk down!!) after which I called it a day - bloodied knee and shin mostly. So must say thanks to all who did check on me, plus marshals at Top Withins and Dave Woodhead himself for sorting out the first aid kit after I walked/ jogged back to the finish.

Despite my mishap, and earlier stumbles in the bogs I enjoyed it in a strange type of way.

Good run at the Withins although legs were stinging in the sleet - apparently it only rained back at the quarry.

Think lots of people found the missing flagstone near Top Withins and took a tumble. A few also went for a swim in the stream crossing at Bronte falls.

Finished just behind Derby Tup, who introduced himself as he sped past me.

What a corker at Withins, sunshine and hard rain and oh yes, plenty of mud. Theres mud and then... theres moorland mud eh.
Good to see Merrylegs, congrats re: son of merry.
The slabs on the way up to finish almost got me but somehow managed to avoid serious injury.
Got back to car feeling wrecked but perked up when I saw the curly wurly on the passenger seat.... somehow chocolate makes it all ok eh.
Well done to Dave and his completely dedicated team for another great event.
    why do we do?

Thanks Merry - sure I'll be up and running again in a day or two - just sore knee & shin. I think I may have seen you run past while I was sat at Top Withins - assuming you had your Ponies vest on? Oh and well done to son of Merry.

That'll be a lot easier underfoot random the only real 'fell' being the summit area of the Cop itself which is visited twice, a good race though.
