The first steps towards Sunderland begin tomorrow for those of us who do the Red Rose League.
Good luck everyone.

thanks Danbert I never realized it was in Sunderland this season, woop I imagine it'll be on the same course as the northerns were held on a few year back, good course, quite fast but can get very very muddy, great never done a national cross country, cant wait
do we have to run in the northerns in order to be eligible for this, or just the north eastern/ north western xc champs?
The team raymondo battlewaggon is off and running
Look out Walker Boy
Indeed Sparth.
Raymondos Rochdale battlewagon will be calling at all stations in the Red Rose, South East Lancashire and Manchester and District Cross Country Leagues before terminating at Herrington Park in Sunderland on Saturday the 23rd February 2013.
Watch out Walker Boy - from tiny acorns come great oak trees.

Hi Rev, think the club has do the North Easterns, then the Northerns to qualify.....I think!!
ken
You need to check the small print. A few years ago you had to be entered in the Northerns to be able to do the National. But I think they dropped that a couple of years ago.
Shouldn't be any pre-requisite to do a County Champs.
2007 from Sunderland insisted that Clubs must have entered a team in their area champs in order to compete in the National and individuals must have been entered in the area to run in the national.
Clubs couldn't enter a few individuals in the area and then count for team at National.
This only applied to seniors - not sure what the history of that rule was - but juniors were exempt.
It changed in 2008 at Alton Towers where my paperwork reads :-
Qualification
(3) All age groups (including seniors) may enter teams or individuals without having entered their area champs.
(4)Any athlete entered into their area championships must represent the same club in the ECCA Championship
There is no mention in any of the archive paperwork I have of County Champs.
