    10k Trainers

    Hi,

Just wonderd if anyone would recommend any good, light, racing trainers for a 10k.

If they were also suitable for a bit longer it wouldn't hurt, but I only really do one road race a year so something for 10k to half marathon distance would be good.

    Thanks a lot!

    Re: 10k Trainers

Just got myself a pair of Nike Zoom Streak 4, from achillies heel, reduced from £75 to £52

    http://www.achillesheel.co.uk/road/m...ak4-511591-174

Not raced in them yet, but comfortable and superlight, 230g on my kitchen scales for size 10.5, nearer 200g for size 9 I think.

Like most racers seem to come up small in size, so add 0.5 on to your normal Nike size.

Not super low profile though, but good for me as I've not transitioned down yet, think it's 10mm differential

You need to go to a reputable shop and seek advice lots of good shoes out there but all shoes have difference like our feet so a good shoe for one will be trouble for someone else

I run in Mizuno Wave P12

No. It's the new Terra Nova Ultra Helium shoe. They weigh 0g due to innovative incorporation of lighter than air materials. They are also entirely transparent, like the Ultra tent. In fact, you can't see them at all.

Just converted to the Saucony Fast witch. Neutral, very light, miminal feel but stilll cushioned enough for 10k up to 1/2M. I got them for about £50.
Admittedly don't do many road races but have found them great so far.

Thanks for that. What's the sizing like with them as I tried adidas trail shoes once before and they seemed to come very small? (I'm an 11 in normal shoes and the 12 in Kanadias was far too small.)
