    total utter madness

Isambard Brunel school in Swindon now requires parents to pay for a CRB check before they are allowed to watch school sports events.
Hamza is still holding off deportation whereas Christopher Tappin was hauled off double quick.

Just where the hell are we all heading????

A quick fact check shows that you've got it wrong about the school. Apparently there was some confusion leading to an erroneous story in a local paper.

A decent rant. Looks like Hamza might be going after all. Any chance of you having a moan about the price of beer and fell shoes next? :closed:

The price of beer is a fat gut. Ergo, I drink red wine instead.
Found the perfect cheap fell shoe. Adidas Kanadia's. Yucky colours but at £30 in Sports Direct, who's complaining?

Can you give a link to that. As far as I can see, the story is true but the school are 'surprised' that it got so much attention.

I've just googled it. Parents are ok to watch their children doing sport if they access the playing fields via Tadpole Lane. The issue is with parents attempting to access the playing fields through the main school building. That then begs the question of parents accessing the mains school building for parents' evenings etc?
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

You don't need CRB checks at parents' evenings. Interesting if you did because criminals have kids too and who would you let in?
Sounds like a school that has tried a heavy-handed way of stopping parents cutting through the school , the local rag has reported it and the nationals have taken it on as it fits the health and safety stereotype. Bollocks as usual.
