Hard to believe it's been that long - Fairfield won't ever seem the same. RIP Daz

Went to Daz's cairn to say "Hello" yesterday on my way to marshalling on Hart Crag. A great friend. Sadly missed.

Any ravens about Geoff? Whenever I’ve been up to ‘see daz’ they’ve been around

Sad indeed, much missed; I'd had a good natter with Daz at the finish of the 3 Shires, just 3 or 4 weeks before his passing.Ian.
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

Didn't hear any ravens - it was too claggy to see any.

Ravens are true mountain birds and very intelligent. Bird watchers often bracket them in with birds of prey. They are obviously well at home up there at the head of the horseshoe - long may they prosper
