Anyone know what the preferred route is from Dalwhinnie through to Glen Feshie, a couple of points in particular:

    1) Loch Cuaich to Bhran Cottage - north from the loch and through the low col between Meall Chuaich and Clach-Mheall Dubh, or ESE from the southern edge of the loch, contour Bogha-Cloiche and cross the Allt Bhran south of the cottage?

    2) Bhran Cottage to Glen Feshie - ENE up to the col between Meallach Mhor and Meallach Beag then some off piste action to pick up the track by Feith Mhor, or head SE for a few K then turn NE up Allt na Cuilice to pick up the track running by Lochan an t-Sluic?

I guess the latter 2 options lend themselves to hitting Glen Feshie a good 7k south of Auchlean and taking a more southerly route up on to Moine Mhor. Bonus question: is the bridge back up at Carnachuin? I can't find anything online to suggest it is...

Hank / Geoff, have a look at my post # 6 on the first page of this thread.

I'll PM you with my e-mail address and we could meet up for a natter, as you are now based in Lancaster, like myself.

Does anybody know if there is a 'completion log' or similar for this? Purely for the on-foot completions...

Particularly interested if many, if any, have done this solo unsupported/self-sufficient.

Have scoured the Gofar site and nothing doing there, perhaps contacting the email address is my best option, but thought i'd ask here first...

Martin Stone did and held the record for a time. From what I can gather online there's not been that many completions (or attempts, I guess) full stop. I'm tentatively planning a go late May this year with road support in Dalwhinnie, maybe Glen Feshie and possibly a friend joining me for the last stretch from Lairig Grhu to the end. I'm keen to do it in a relatively minimal style and also it'd be a right pain to organise the logistics of running support.

    Thanks Hank....

Martin Stone is indeed the email contact stated on the Gofar website for the 4000ers.
