    The John Taylor Foundation

John Taylor was a young international athlete who died tragically from a heart condition known as cardiomyopathy in 2002. The John Taylor foundation for young athletes was created with the aim of raising awareness of this condition, and assisting young athletes. It is a registered charity, 1101008. Funds are raised through a variety of means: many fell races donate some or all of their proceeds to the Foundation.

A Summary of the objects of the Foundation are:

    · To help young athletes in the UK who need financial assistance to allow them to pursue opportunities in amateur athletics

    · Raising awareness of the condition of cardiomyopathy in athletes in the UK

Applying for support from the foundation

Applications are invited from young amateur athletes. Please download an application form from our website (www.johntaylorfoundation.org.uk) or write to us (details below):

We are also looking to increase our trustee numbers, so if you are interesting in working with the John Taylor foundation, please get in touch, details below:

Good post Feet. Did I read that Emma Clayton benefited from a grant from the JTF at one time? Hope you're OK!

Andrew, yes she did. The grant helped her run the WMRA Grand Prix series on the Continent a few years ago.
