I'd been wondering why it had been a bit slow to update the site recently. I hope its nothing too serious

Yes, John was taken ill suddenly over the weekend. Any race results he is covering, I am covering for the duration and we plan to get them on site as a team. All on line entries are suspended for the duration as are any results sent to him. They will take time to appear. I am sure he will be back on his feet soon enough, so please be patient and wish him well.

Absolutely, he told me once that he gets in excess of 500,000 hits a year on his site and that was 4 years ago! I will pass on any ones regards when I see him.

Update this morning:

**3rd JULY 2007** JOHN SCHOFIELD SUFFERED A HEART ATTACK ON JUNE 30th. HE IS PROGRESSING WELL IN HOSPITAL AND THERE IS APPARENTLY NO MAJOR LONG TERM DAMAGE. JOHN HOPES TO BE HOME SOON. JOHN AND HIS FAMILY WOULD LIKE TO SAY A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS HELPED AND SENT THEIR GOOD WISHES DURING THIS DIFFICULT PERIOD. THIS WEBSITE WILL CONTINUE TO NOT BE UPDATED IN THE NEAR FUTURE. ALSO, ONLINE ENTRIES ARE STILL TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED.

So good news on the recovery front and I'm sure all on this forum wish him a full recovery.

I'll pass on your regards when I get to see him tomorrow (Wednesday) Incidently, any race that ukresults are covering over the near future will go on the site but no others. They will also go on my site as well (the one below) until John is up and about again.
