It's difficult to remember, until I look at old photographs, that there was a time I weighed more than 10stone 2lbs.
This one is getting closer, anybody got any info on route etc?
How easy is it without a reccie?
its not easy at all without a recce,I got well and truly lost a couple of years ago. Were it not for a kind lady to follow from Tod.Harriers I'd probably still be out there now !!!
I am doing the half this time !!
I would recommend a recce of the final thirdish part of the race as this is where it can get very spread out and often misty and is a bit of a moorland sprawl! The first part is easy - just follow everyone else! the second part, form Cock Hill, Stoop etc is pretty straight forward and follows distinct paths and routes. The very last mile or so is flagged, so no problem there, unless you get lost just before and don't actually reach the flags!!!
Happy recce ing
I've bottled out of the full and have just gone for the half.
Soft, I know, but there is always next year.
It's not that easy with a reccie, covered the whole thing over a couple of runs but I'm still planning to run with the 'friend' who talked me into it.
You might not be surprised to hear that it's very, very wet up there, particularly the part of the full that is the half!
does any one have a map?
if i do many more races round there i might actually know where i am which is a scaryu thought!
