Hills and Guinness!
This is an absolutely cracking race and I am gutted I will not be able to run it. Still only another 6 weeks to go before I can hit the fells again (Hopefully).
It is a lot harder than the 20 miles suggests and if this rain continues then you wont need a compass for the Cock Hill section you will require a sonar !!
If you cant change something, change the way you feel about it !
On the mend from a knee op. Seeing the specialist tonight again so see what he has to say. Originally he said 3 months before I could run again (which would be end of Feb). Hopeful that he will stick to that.

If this rain keeps up you could always swim round the Trog Denzil!
Took a mate of my round the half route on Sunday and there was a posse of Bingley Harriers recceing the route - the Trog is one of their club champs races. It was very wet and wild up there; bring on the Beast.
12 bingley harriers had a look, from crow hill and back,3 carried on for the full.
it was wet, grim and muddy, but it always is up there!i forgot how tough the climb is to shackleton knoll, but boy what a descent, absolutly no grip, just slid down.best of all was the views, brilliant.
does anyone know whether this race is full yet? I know I'm late but was waiting for an injury to clear up, I sent my application in last week.
Think I might go over and recci the last half this weekend?
why do we do?

Actually that's a point. Sent my entry off two+ weeks ago but the cheque hasn't been cashed yet. Web site says "entries list will be published before the event" but not there yet. We'll just have to be patient. I wonder alternatives there are for the 9th...
