Would have loved the sprint in to the finish if mi calf hadn't twanged 1K from the line. If you can picture Long John Silver running that's how it probably looked, damn that calf, I swear its made of chocolate.

Bugger, I missed the vest and the man.

    Very enjoyable(!) race though.

don't know about the winning time I'm afraid, was on my way to collect tapes when I shouted and didn't get back until the prize giving was done. Results normally take a couple of days - maybe longer this time as 169 people ran, so a lot of data to crunch!

Took some pictures which are here (hopefully soon up on the EV website also)

I had not realised that the visibility was quite as bad on the top.

Amex hope you enjoyed your trip to the North York Moors.

The murk increased markedly during your pics ba-ba, the winners time Jayson Cavill of Pickering RC was just over 37 mins, the first 5 home were in the 37's, last years winning time was 35mins (a photo finish between Phil Sanderson and Cameron Taylor, both just shy of the course record), i think the heavy going (in parts) compared to last years icebox had its effect. More about position this year!

Great to see the Esk Valley Team to the fore in the mens race, Durham FR did have a 4th man after all, but he was too far down the field.

that bit was good running last year - blame the people who ruined the track when they cleared the forest.
That said, it was even worse (shin-deep mud) the last time I was out there when they were clearing it in the summer.

Well the course is marked, the clag was down again during the course marking. Going underfoot was wet up to the turn to cross the moor. Then mixed again in the last km thru' the woods and to the finish.

    Enjoy
