In my defence I did say 'many' not 'any' and I still think the head-count is lasses ahead of lads.

I meant thanks to DN for putting results up actually... but anyway, i think you can't argue that there's more depth in the men's . Shame, but doesn't stop what women do it from giving it their all.. i long for a day we get equal numbers. And equal distance races at XC!!! My ovaries have thus far not prevented me running 12k and quite alot further

I'm surprised you noticed - I wasn't aware of anything going on below the knees until about 6:30 in the evening when I finally got a good soak

I didn't notice due to any feeling in my feet as like you say there wasn't any. The sole was hanging on near the toes and the rest was flapping about so I had to pull it off. Serves me right for wearing 15 year old spikes I suppose.
