IDP, I thought a 'Master' like you would know of all the ways of finding out about what forumites had been up too.

I don't know AllanT but it appears from recent previous posts that he is:

"stuck in a city centre at the minute, still on the last year of my degree so this time next year I will be back on the Island, when I intend to bike to work"

    There, amateur detective work over.

To get us back on track (you lot can go and natter somewhere else!).....

Our coaches already volunteer a lot of their time as it is, I wouldn't ask them to commit to anything that isn't directly coaching juniors. The club can pay for First Aid qualifications, it's just a question of getting a course to suit. Red Cross do a sports first aid course but it's not really targeted to what we need (e.g - doesn't cover environmental exposures such as heatstroke and hypothermia) and they want to do it as a group session; around £850+vat for 6-12 people.

I'll keep looking around but if anyone know of first aid trainers in East Lancs who could offer something more specific I'd appreciate it. We don't need a huge amount and I suspect it could be covered in a half day or evening session.

Andy, try a PM to Amex of this 'ere parish. He has / had strong connections to Rossendale MRT. He's based in Barrowford.

Just up to my eyeballs with uni so not had a lot of time to post on here (also let my training slip too). Roll on December when I finish uni and can go back home to my house in the country, fed up of the big city and not seeing many mountains
I've settled down a lot since those days!
