If you're as slow as me, you mightn't even find it.

So what shoes do people recommend for this race - studs or trail? I was thinking trail but looking at some of the best racing lines studs may be a better option. I have a choice between roclite 315 and mudroc 330.

If I was doing it this year, I'd use 330's

Wellies usually seem the most appropriate, in parts anyway.

You'll be slipping something nasty under Esk Pike and on Bowfell wearing 330s.

Better bet is those green and black inov-8s. 270? Although coming from Blisco to cattle grid the grass can be a bit slippy in these.

    Re: Langdale

Sounds like a stash of shoes half way round is the answer then?

330's all the way for me. Mainly because they are the only shoes that I have in proper race quality i.e have any grip left.

Can I ask if there will be a starters list for this race? I entered close to the closing date and although it should have arrived before cut off I am wary abotu Royal Mail. Don't want to travel up 3 hours if not racing.

In view of the wet weather parking issues at the Ian Hodgeson what are the chances of Langdale being cancelled for a similar reason ?

    Does anyone know?
