I have no idea what 54:11 is, never mind ultralight bikes and all the rest.
But 45mph on the flat with a tailwind, sounds adrenaline junkie stuff to me - good on you, bet that was a megga speed buzz. Go for it

Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.
at tat speed you need ultra concentration believe me
was it sean kelly tat once did 70mph
very windy round er.. got blown off me feet yesterday not looking forwards to tomorrow..
Isn't the world land speed record for a bicycles over 200 MPH???
Not very nice at that speed though when you feel the bike shift violently to the right or left as it gets hit by the wind!! You have to shift to counterbalance it & then get back into the neutral very quickly!!!
Shockin night...... again.... electric off & on again this week!
Shack creakin & leakin.....
Was goin to bike over hill to Birthday Bash in Whaley..... think party would be over by the time I'd peddled the wind into submission!
Looks like a white van moment instead....
Lambs Longer Leg might just take bit longer if it keeps this up, v v soggy underfoot...
to windy still for me on the bike this mornin
i was exausted on some hills
and i always et a bad lower back from havin to stamp on the pedals ( ouch )
my 12mile run has just killed me
Stamping on the pedals Daz? Aren't you using SPD's?? Try & get a more rounded motion rather than stamping on them, it should save your back. It should be an equal effort all the way round. Also if your back is hurting, climb out of the saddle, it takes the pressure off it.
I've ''passed wind" on my Springer Spaniels face just now
She turned around in disgust.
