I'd definitely agree with that DT. The thought of Halls Fell n'all on the last leg wasn't worrying me (i'd felt strong on the climbs all day and if anything my feet were feeling tender for the downhills) but not being able to scoot along that ridge line was the clincher.

Lost about 80 minutes I think, although perhaps 15 minutes of that was after we'd decided to knock it on the head and take it steady coming down Clough Head. We did pass a group going the other way coming down Dollywaggon as we were going up. Couldn't tell the sex of any of them though as it was dark and pissing with rain
